The course has two objectives: 1) to inform about criminal phenomena that impact cultural heritage; 2) to train future operators who know how to express cognitive tools also in the protection of cultural heritage from criminal attacks, with particular reference to archaeology.

Programme

The course includes 20 hours of classroom lectures on the general themes of the course and 20 hours of in-depth seminars on specific case studies, which will take place both in the classroom and at external locations.

Core Documentation

In addition to the notes taken during the lessons, students will have as a reference a manual specifically built on the course topics, which can be downloaded free of charge from the University publishing house's website. Further bibliography on specific case studies will be provided during the lessons.

Attendance

Attendance at least 35 hours of classroom instruction, out of the total 40 hours planned for the course. Students who cannot attend for certified reasons (work, health) can ask to take advantage of the recording of lessons.

Type of evaluation

Students who have participated in all the educational activities planned during the course will be invited to develop and present a short PowerPoint presentation (approximately 30 minutes) on the topics chosen from those covered during the lessons. Students who have not attended classes will be asked questions about the topics covered in the manual adopted for the exam.
