The course on the History of the Early Middle Ages aims to provide students with a critical understanding of the political, social, and economic transformations that took place between the 5th and 10th centuries. Particular attention is given to the fall of the Roman Empire, the formation of the Roman-Barbarian kingdoms, and the emergence of medieval Europe. The course also aims to develop students’ ability to analyze written and material sources, fostering independent judgment and an understanding of long-term historical processes.
