The course aims to provide the analytical and methodological tools needed to understand China's historical trajectory within the broader context of East Asia. Students will be able to analyze the geopolitical, socio-economic, and cultural processes that have contributed to the global rise of the People's Republic of China, connecting them to the legacy of the recent past.
