Mission
Roma Tre University has joined the Link identifier #identifier__85186-1Network of Universities for Sustainable Development (RUS), established by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) in 2016 to coordinate Italian universities committed to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. According with the Manifesto, drafted during the ‘Magnificent CRUI Meetings 2019,’ which recognize the fundamental role of universities in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals of Agenda 2030, Rome Tre aims to:
- enhance university education for sustainability
- provide its own expertise to support the local community and its regeneration
- involves the academic community to play a leading role in spreading good practices and a lifestyle inspired by sustainability principles
- promote inclusion and social cohesion through its institutional missions of teaching, research, and knowledge sharing. To fulfill these commitments, Rome Tre has established an integrated sustainability structure to coordinate activities through collaboration between the Mobility and Environmental Sustainability Office and the ‘Rome Tre Sustainable’ Working Group led by the delegate for environmental sustainability policies.
The inclusion of sustainability principles into the University’s Strategic Plan will help define concrete sustainability goals in various fields of the University’s competence: Teaching, Research, and Third Mission.
