Anna Lisa Tota

prof.ssa TotaAnna Lisa Tota, Vice Rector of Roma Tre University since 13 July 2022, delegate for the coordination of Third Mission activities, Full Professor in the scientific – disciplinary sector SPS/08, she teaches Art Sociology, Communication Sociology and Music Sociology. Since 2015 she teaches as Gastprofessor Sociology of advertising at the Universität St. Gallen, Hochschule für Wirtschafts, Rechts und Sozialwissenschaften in Switzerland.

From 2019 to 2022 she has been member of the Academic Senate of Roma Tre University, taking part in the Balance Sheet and Regulation Committee. Since 2020 she is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Castello of Roma Tre University.

From 2007 to 2018 she was Head of the University Journal “Roma Tre News”. From 2014 to 2017 she coordinated the Section “Processes and Cultural Institutions" of the Italian Association of Sociology (AIS). From 2009 to 2011 she was Chair of the Research Network “Sociology of culture” of the European Sociological Association (ESA). From 2001 to 2003 she was Chair of the Research Network “Sociology of the Arts” of the European Sociological Association (ESA).

From 1999 to 2010 she was expert evaluator for the European Commission. From 1999 to 2001 she was Chairman of the Ministerial Committee “Gender, generation, cultural differences” established by the  Equal Opportunities Minister Laura Balbo. Her main research interests are in memory studies, with reference to public memory related to Italian terrorist attacks. Her research also focuses on art sociology, music sociology, visual studies, gender studies, ecology of communicative processes. She has a scientific production of over 150 works
