Marco Catarci, Deputy Rector of Roma Tre University since first November 2022, delegate for relations with schools, third sector and voluntary organisations, public and private bodies.
Full Professor in the scientific – disciplinary sector M-PED/01 (social and general pedagogy), professor of social and intercultural Pedagogy, head of the postgraduate course: “Hosting and inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers”.
From 5 November 2019 to 31 October 2022 he has been member of the Board of Trustees of Roma Tre University.
From 2013 to 2015 he was member of the Consiglio Universitario Nazionale – CUN (National University Council) covering Area 11 – History, philosophy, pedagogy and psychology. From 2010 to 2013 of the Board of Governors of the Italian Society of Pedagogy (SIPED).
He is member of the scientific committee of the University College of Domenico Tardini onlus, which adheres to the University Colleges of merit.
His main research interests are in the fields of social and intercultural pedagogy, of intercultural mediation and in the pursuit of social inclusion of migrants and refugees. He has been responsible of national and international research projects in these issues and he achieved assessments under peer review procedures. He has published monographs, essays and articles listed in the research repository of Roma Tre University
