Programme
In the year 2023/2024 the course addresses a specific topic, namely "University and labor market." In particular, it concerns the structures and components of university education and the problems of entering into the labor market. Several experts will be invited to intervene on specific aspects. In detail, Cle-Lab is articulated in the following three parts. The first part presents OECD and Istat data on how the population is distributed between levels of education and how the university population is distributed between levels and areas. Further, it also offers a descriptive and interpretative analysis of the educational scenario. In this part, guests will be invited to give a speech about investments in training and Next Generation EU, with a particular focus on the territory of Rome.
The second part offers an analysis of the labor market and in particular the issues and problems relating to the entry phase. Some recent regulatory aspects such as the Dignity Decree will be the subject of extensive discussion.
Finally, the third part presents the voice of businesses, inviting some representatives of businesses or associations in the area, such as Confindustria. At the end of the course, students will be more familiar with the challenges of entering the labor world. Recent developments and changes in the skills requirements of firms' labor demand will receive particular attention.
