The laboratory aims to provide students with basic knowledge and skills to understand and practice television journalism, with particular attention to audiovisual languages, news formats, and the professional contexts of television production.
At the end of the laboratory, students will have acquired:
• knowledge of the specific characteristics of television journalism, its languages, and the main models of news production for the television medium;
• the ability to critically analyze television news products, distinguishing genres, formats, and narrative styles of newscasts, in-depth programs, and thematic information;
• basic skills in the main techniques of television journalism, such as writing for images, conducting television interviews, constructing news reports, and preparing rundowns;
• the ability to use sources and audiovisual materials responsibly, in compliance with the professional, ethical, and deontological standards of journalism;
• tools to understand the stages of television newsroom work, from news gathering to broadcasting;
• the ability to orient themselves with respect to the main professional profiles in television journalism and the working contexts of audiovisual information.
