The course aims to provide students with advanced knowledge of the vocabulary and the fundamental problems of aesthetics. Specific attention will be deserved to some of the most significant authors in the discipline.
Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to discuss and to develop arguments both in a theorical and in a historical perspective.
Students are expected to acquire the following skills:
Advanced critical thinking on aesthetics;
Advanced language and argumentation skills about the topic of the course;
Capacity to read and analyse texts about Aesthetics;
Oral and/or written presentation (Italian or English)

Programme

The course will deal with the concept of geophilosophy proposed by Deleuze and Guattari, highlighting its aspects related to aesthetics.

Type of delivery of the course

The course includes Lectures; Discussions with students and debates on topics covered; Oral presentations by students; Attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended. In the case of an extension of the health emergency by COVID-19 all the provisions that regulate the way in which teaching activities and student evaluation are carried out will be implemented. In particular, the following modalities will be applied: distance teaching through the University platforms.

The evaluation will be carried out by means of an oral test.
