One of the main aims of this Course of Study is the acquisition of competences in two foreign languages, which is based on the development of the four written-oral skills in reception and production, to analyse the study of intercultural and transcultural phenomena through the tools and methodologies of linguistic and philological analysis, as well as the theory and practice of translation. RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND TRANSLATION II is amongst the distinguishing activities of the "Language and translation" area. The aim of the module is to provide students with level B1 language skills and strategies (based on the CEFR). It also aims to develop the ability to ponder on both the cultural context and the language structures (phonetic and morphological), and it introduces students to the analysis of text typology and the theoretical, methodological and socio-cultural problems inherent to translation from Russian into Italian. Students will be able to put into practice the acquired linguistic and communicative skills (active, passive and mixed); translate and edit texts the text from a transmedia point of view; they will also possess increased communicative skills and intercultural competences. Programme
The course is aimed at deepening the lexico-grammatical and semantic foundations of Russian. It will focus on the following topics: the semantic functions of cases; pronouns (possessive, indefinite, negative); adjectives (comparative and superlative degrees); numerals (dates, time expressions); impersonal constructions with the dative case; modal expressions; verbs of position; prefixed verbs of motion; the use and functions of aspect in the imperative; conditional. Basic notions regarding the syntax of complex sentence will also be provided (temporal, causal, final, concessive, and hypothetical clauses; direct and indirect speech).Core Documentation
