The workshop aims to introduce and prepare to carry out training activities of the 2nd and 3rd year. Lab attendance is obligatory and undertakes to participate actively. Its activities are developed with a part of the classroom (25 hours) and part of local community resources survey (50 hours)

- Learning the ability to work in groups, encouraging discussion and collaboration;
- Gain a preliminary understanding of the local services through the interview with social workers working in different public and private sectors;
- Make a first knowledge of the social competence of the social service issues.
The program The Laboratory, as guidance phase of orientation is a prerequisite to training the II and III year and start the process of learning from experience through lectures and group work:
Frontal lessons :
- The relationship between theory and practice in university education and in the profession;
- Actors and role of the internship (the university, the trainee, the supervisor, the institution);
- Organization and rules of the internship;
- The integrated system of health and social services and the role of social work;
- the role of the Social Service in collaboration with the Judicial Authority (Guardianship, Curatorship, Support Administration, Juvenile Court, Civil Court)
- Knowledge of users and the types of needs, weaknesses and problems that belong to the social service;
Group Workshop:
It is expected, in addition to hours of lectures, outside activity conducted in subgroup.
Each group of students is assigned a territory, and the names of fellow social workers, who work in health and social services and have given their availability, to which administered a structured interview and detect:
- Background information on institutional and organizational references of social and health services;
- Social problems prevailing in the reference territory
- Planned and resources activated in the plan area;
- Role of social work.

Type of delivery of the course
The program includes 18 hours of lectures corresponding to 3 credits, realized the I + II semester, from October to May. It 'also provided, outside activity of about 50 hours. Teaching methodology The teaching method consists of lectures supplemented by discussions, use of teaching support material (slides, short films), exercises and work in sub-groups for the study of specific topics, interviews and testimonies of significant players.Type of evaluation
The exam includes a written report on group work carried out during the training workshop with personal feedback on experience and an interview aimed at verifying the individual learning process. the evaluation will be in 30/30
