2. To understand the various functions assigned to the school system by the Italian Republican Constitution.
3. To understand the history and phenomenology of democratic schooling in Italy by highlighting the contributions of the male and female teachers who transformed the Italian school system from within.
4. To understand specific issues related to the status of women in education: from the feminization of the teaching profession to the theme of educational self-segregation.
