20711629 - BIBLICAL AND APOCRYPHAL SOURCES FOR ART HISTORY

The course aims to provide students with the critical tools needed to analyze biblical and apocryphal sources in relation to art history. Students will develop skills in iconographic and iconological interpretation, gaining an understanding of how these texts have been transmitted and their influence on the visual arts. They will learn to identify themes, symbols, and narratives, evaluate historical and cultural contexts, and adopt an interdisciplinary approach to the study of artworks.
