The course aims to provide participants with a basic theoretical knowledge of oral history and to give their opportunity to practice an interview working in a team.

Programme
Some issues relating to the use of oral sources for contemporary history will be addressed, retracing the experiences gained in different Italian contexts starting from the fifties and sixties of the twentieth century. Particular attention will be paid to the construction of the interview, its uses for research, archival conservation and intersections with other disciplines, including public history. In agreement with the teacher, each student will record an interview which they will then have to transcribe and discuss in an essay.Core Documentation
