Resources and Waste

The RUS “Resources and Waste” Working Group aims to propose and define strategies and actions for the integrated and sustainable management of the waste cycle to reduce production. It collects and disseminates practices to raise awareness of proper waste management, directing behaviors to prevent production from the source as part of the “Circular Economy”: from avoiding or limiting the use of certain objects or substances to virtuous management of goods and materials (Life Cycle Assessment and Life Cycle Thinking).

The Resources and Waste Working Group is led by:

  • Prof. Link identifier #identifier__76369-1Olimpia Martucci, Associate Professor in the Department of Business Economics, she teaches in the following degree courses:“ Resources, Production and Ecological Transition” and “Goods, Certifications and Sustainability Indicators”. She is also a lecturer in the “Quality and Certification of Food” course at the Department of Science. Since 2019 she is a member of the Departmental Council with responsibility for research issues. Since 2001 she is a member of the Accademia Italiana di Scienze Merceologiche (AISME) and since 2005 he is a member of the Italian Network Association LCA (Life Cycle Assessment). She was auditor for the evaluation of FIRB Projects (Fund for Investment in Basic Research)
